About Us

It all started when...

in the early 1930's, a number of Central Bible Institute students began an out station in the old Hickory Barren School, located a short distance south of U.S. 65 highway.  In 1934, a C.B.I. student named Harry Bradley took over as Pastor. in the fall of 1938 it became necessary for this group, with no official name, to find another place to worship. With great determination they began holding services in a milk house located on a farm. (about one-fourth mile across the street from our present location) On December 28, 1938, about one-fourth of an acre was deeded to this group by Dora Bell Stanfield. Their new church was occupied in late 1939. Because of all the trouble they had getting the land, they decided to name the church Peace Chapel. They became affiliated with the General Council of the Assemblies of God on November 22, 1940. Now many years an multiple remodels later the Church remains.  Come an find your church home here with us at Peace Chapel.

Meet the Staff

Lead Pastors

Brad & Janeè Mcatee

Pastor Brad & Janee' began their ministry here at Peace Chapel in April 2006. Prior to that they were youth pastors for almost ten years. They began their ministry at Central Assembly in their hometown of Springfield, MO, then moved to First Assembly in Memphis, TN. They never got too excited about all the Elvis memorabilia, so they had their own little Memphis souvenir, Jack, in 2001. Then they moved to Tulsa, OK and finished their youth ministry at Carbondale Assembly. While there, they added their daughter, Macee, to the family in 2003.

Brad enjoys hunting, fishing, 4-wheeling, and spending time with family. Janee' enjoys all things family, shopping, and chocolate!
